MORE than £20,000 has already been raised for the Primrose Hospice in its annual Lights of Love appeal this Christmas.

The campaign, which is in its 20th year, gives residents the opportunity to remember someone special by dedicating a light to them in one of the hospice's Christmas trees.

Names of loved ones are also placed in remembrance books around trees for family and friends to visit.

Fundraising manager Emma Williams said: “The local community have come together and have already helped us raise over £20,000 for this year’s campaign.

“The money raised is absolutely vital to the hospice.

“It allows us to continue to offer our services to our patients and their families meaning we are there for those who need our support and care when they need us the most.”

Residents can join the campaign and dedicate a light to someone special by filling in the coupon.
