STAR Wars super-fans will be delighted to learn of Echo Base Live’s return to the Kingfisher Shopping Centre this Saturday.

The special event is one of the biggest Star Wars Collectors Fair in Europe, offering a range of vintage and modern collectable items from art and books to toys.

Back in April, dedicated fans travelled from as far as Ireland, Scotland and Wales to attend the free event, and attendees were even treated to special surprise appearances from Laurie Goode and Chris Bunn; actors who played Stormtroopers in the original 1977 Star Wars film.

This time, fans both old and new will be travelling from as far as Sweden and the Netherlands to get a glimpse of a galaxy far, far away; a fan-tailored experience like no other.

Collectable items from the original 1977 film will be on sale at the fair and fans may even catch a glimpse of Paul Blake who played Greedo in the original films walking among them, as well as the returning Laurie Goode and Chris Bunn.

This year, the fresh faces of Kenneth Colley and Jon Simpkin will also be there; actors from the original films who played characters Admiral Piett and Klaatu respectively.

A free valuation service will also be offered for fans who wish to get their Star Wars memorabilia valued, and fans can enjoy autographs from some of the actors from the original films.

There will also be the chance to see some special Star Wars props on the day, keep an eye out for these in Evesham Square, beneath the escalators near JD Sports.

Domonique Lippett, marketing manager at Kingfisher, comments: “We’re excited to see the return of Echo Base Live.

“It’s great to see Star Wars fans of all ages enjoying this flagship event, and it goes without saying that this is not to be missed!”

Echo Base Live will be located in the unit opposite the carpark 4 entrance, between Poundland and Peter Bainbridge Opticians.
