A PART time mobile DJ from Studley will appear on tonight's episode of Come Dine With Me.

Daryl Lancaster will feature on the long-running Channel 4 show, which sees four strangers take it in turns to host the perfect dinner party over a week.

Contestants then score each others efforts in secret and the host who has impressed the most receives a £1,000 cash prize.

The episode was filmed in May but contestants were forbidden to talk about it.

"It was a lot of hard work but something I would definitely do again," said Daryl.

"It was a great experience - I really enjoyed it.

"I recently turned 50 and one of the items on my bucket list was to be on TV. Now I've done it I wouldn't mind doing something else, another TV show."

On Daryl's day to host the director and crew came to his house at 8.30am and didn't leave until 12.30am that night.

"It really opens your eyes as to how much work goes into just one episode," he said.

"I found it very tiring. I only had my day off but I should have had the whole week off."

Daryl remains tight lipped about the outcome and admitted he is "a little nervous" about how he will come across.

He said: "We're not shown anything until it goes out on TV. I can't watch it live but I'll be watching it later with my family and some friends."

The show will be screened tonight at 5pm.
