BOSSES at Redditch United are launching a brand new beer at the Trico Stadium, with a percentage of the profits going towards funding the club’s work in the community.

The Bromsgrove Road club has chosen the home clash with Slough Town on Tuesday, September 26, to launch the beer, called Brew 17.

A supercharged racing car is also geared up to promote the tasty tipple, which is produced by club sponsor Trico,

Product and brand manager for Trico Sam Robinson said: “This is an exciting time as we launch this special, one-of- a-kind beer.

“Brew 17 is a great way for us to celebrate our partnership with Redditch United and I hope it will be a success with not only the supporters at the match but also those who are lucky enough to get their hands on a bottle through one of the many promotions and giveaways we’ve got planned.”

Tuesday’s Evo-Stik South Premier match at 7.45pm has also been earmarked as a ‘Public Sector Appreciation Game’, offering a £6 concessionary ticket to those showing their work ID.

Redditch United chairman Chris Swan said: “Nurses, firefighters and the police are just some of the unsung heroes we have in this country so this is just a small token of thanks for the excellent work they do day in, day out.”
