REDDITCH’S rural outpost of Feckenham is about to be invaded.
There are rustlings and shufflings in the fields as the people of straw prepare for their annual weekend in the lime light.
It’s time for the 12th Feckenham Scarecrow Festival which takes place on Saturday and Sunday, September 30 and October 1.
Once again villagers have been asked to have a bit of fun by manufacturing the most frightening, funny or downright ridiculous scarecrows ever seen.
They can be huge or tiny and on previous occasions they’ve come in all shapes and sizes.
People are being invited to come along and act as judges and there’ll be prizes for the best displays.
Visitors can enjoy a stroll around the Scarecrow Trail starting at the village square and there will be homemade teas served on the village’s picturesque village green.
The Scarecrow trail will be open from 11.30am on both days and closes at 4.30pm.
