POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was left with "life-changing injuries" following a crash on the Coventry Highway in Redditch.

A silver Proton taxi approached Moons Moat roundabout on the Coventry Highway when it was in collision with the kerb and a safety barrier, before coming to rest in the trees in the centre of the island.

Fire and ambulance services attended and a male passenger in their 30s was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where they remain with life changing injuries.

West Mercia Police are seeking information on the incident, which took place around 2.30am on Sunday, August 20.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or with information can call 101, quoting incident number 87s of 20 August and asking for PC 3690 Mounter, or PC 2556 Cook.
