REDDITCH Model Railway Club is celebrating after reaching a very special milestone.
The club, formed in June 1967 at the White Hart Public House in Headless Cross, is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Since its inception it has gone from strength with more than 25 members and meeting twice a week in its own club rooms in the town.
The club has constructed many model railway layouts which over the last 50 years have been exhibited as far and wide as Cornwall, Cumbria, York, and even the South of France.
There are plans for an exhibition on September 16 and 17 at Trinity High School.
Details of the club can be found at redditch-mrc.com.
As part of the anniversary celebrations members of the Redditch Model Railway Club recently charted a coach on the Severn Valley Railway.
