AN exhibition at the British War Museum in London will feature Redditch Peace campaigner Brian Haw.

Mr Haw initially set up camp in London’s Parliament Square in 2001 as a response to sanctions against Iraq.

This later expanded after the September 11 attacks and the subsequent invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.

He died of lung cancer in 2011 aged 62, after a decade of camping out in Parliament Square.

The exhibition, People Power: Fighting for Peace, explores how peace movements have influenced perceptions of war and conflict.

From conscientious objectors to peace camps and modern day marches, Fighting for Peace tells the stories of passionate people over the past one hundred years and the struggles they have endured for the anti-war cause.

It runs at the Imperial War Museum from now until August 28.
