WOMEN across Bromsgrove and Redditch are invited to take part in National Ladies' Shooting Day in Tardebigge.

Taking place on Saturday, June 10 at Hereford and Worcester Shooting Ground, the event brings together women with a range of shooting experience to embrace the art of clay pigeon shooting.

This ground, situated on Brockhill Lane between Redditch and Bromsgrove, welcomes women with all levels of experience including complete beginners.

Founder of Shotgun and Chelsea Bun Club, Victoria Knowles-Lacks, established National Ladies' Shooting Day in 2015.

Mrs Knowles-Lacks is on a mission to bring as many women as possible together and get them involved in clay shooting.

Last year the event saw more than 1,500 women attend at different locations across the country, but the club, which is holding 29 simultaneous events this year, hopes to exceed this figure.

Joining women on the day will be fully qualified instructors to show participants the ropes.

The price of the event is £42 and also includes gun hire, cartridges, clays, ear and eye protection.
