McDonald’s on Moon’s Moat Drive has received a major digital makeover, creating an additional 10 jobs in the process.

Customers now have the option of using one of two self-order kiosks to browse the menu and personalise their meals.

The aim is to improve the speed and ease of ordering.

Table service has also been introduced to the restaurant, including the two other McDonald’s in Redditch as part of a wider roll-out start starting in 2016, which aims to take the stress out of finding somewhere to sit when carrying food.

Robert Holdcroft has been a franchisee in Redditch for 25 years, he owns and operates eight restaurants in the area including the one on Moon’s Moat Drive.

“These changes have been designed to make our customers’ experience as positive as possible and the new technology benefits everyone – whether that’s providing people with a chance to get to grips with using a tablet in a relaxed environment, or providing mums with a quick and easy way of ordering their food,”

"I’m confident that this new look restaurant will be a welcome addition to the area and I’m looking forward to welcoming our customers in to show off the changes.”
