RESIDENTS are being invited to show off their talent at an open mic night in aid of homeless charity Redditch Nightstop.

The event is being held at the Woodland Cottage in Mount Pleasant on Thursday, December 15 at 8pm to midnight.

Acoustic duo Imaner have teamed up with the Woodland Cottage's landlord Mark Breeze to organise the fundraiser.

During the night, they will be raising both cash and collecting donations of household goods, clothes and toiletries so that the charity can give them to people in need at Christmas and throughout the year ahead.

Confirmed acts, so far, include The Sophia Vassalos Band and Carrick.

Debbie Joynes, of Imaner, said: "We are so appreciative of the work they do supporting people between the age of 18 and 25 who are homeless in our town.

"We want to honour the work done by Redditch Nightstop.

"Come along and play us a few tunes and put some coins in the tin, or contribute a set of tea towels. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go a very long way."

To make a donation or to book an open mic slot contact Deb or Dave via their Facebook page open mic night with Imaner.

Donations can also be made at Woodland Cottage.

There will be a tin can collection on the night.
