REDDITCH MP Karen Lumley has expressed her sincere thanks to all the staff at Redditch’s Alexandra Hospital who dealt with her during her admission to the hospital last week for a planned but serious surgical procedure.
She was admitted to the Woodrow Drive hospital last Wednesday and, following what appears to have been a successful operation, was allowed to return home two days later.
THE MP said: “Starting off with pre-op clinic, then the admissions unit and finally onto the main ward, the whole experience was very easy to follow and understand.
“But most of all the staff everywhere were amazing. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness and care which was exemplary.”
Mrs Lumley is now at home resting.
The operation will mean that she is unable to carry out her full Parliamentary duties for at least six weeks, and will also not be able to undertake constituency visits and meetings until late November.
While Mrs Lumley will be unavailable to undertake appointments in person, her offices in Westminster and in Redditch remain open.
