STUDENTS from Trinity High School have embarked on the trip of a lifetime.
For one month pupils at the school will be traversing through Tanzania - testing themselves both mentally and physically.
Over the past two years Chris Barnes, Max Bridges, Ruby Drysdale, Charlie Harris, Lizzie Houldey, Jalen Lakin, Ben Lewis and Matthew Ralph have tirelessly been raising money to get them there and to pay for material and equipment.
The trip starts with a trek through the Baobab Valley, before making camp in Tagamenda village, eight kilometres from the regional capital, Iringa.
They stay here for a week working in the local primary school, building and painting classrooms, as well as teaching English.
And if all that wasn't enough the group will have a six-day trek up and around Mt Rungwe, the second highest mountain in Tanzania and more than twice the height of Ben Nevis.
A school spokesman said the trip will be rewarding for those taking part and a great way to experience a vastly different and vibrant country.
"This is the first time any school in Redditch has done an expedition like this," they said.
