SHOPPERS at Redditch's Kingfisher Centre have been put through their paces for a good cause.
Members of the public were challenged to see how far they could ride in five minutes as part of an event by Redditch Rotary Clubs.
The aim was to increase awareness of prostate cancer, and raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
Three static exercise bikes, supplied and supervised by Personal Trainers from PureGym, were set up in Milward Square for the day.
Some impressive distances were recorded but the star rider of the day was Mark Southall who clocked up an impressive 4.6 km, representing an average speed of 55.2km/hour.
A distance and speed PureGym’s personal trainers only managed to match on their second attempt.
A spokesman for the clubs thanked everyone involved.
