UNUSUAL lights, originally thought to be UFOs, were spotted in the skies above Redditch this week.
Eagle-eyed Advertiser reader Brett Coulson snapped these pictures featuring the oddly flying-saucer shaped objects on Monday, February 1.
Mr Coulson now believes the lights to be rainbow clouds.
Rainbow clouds, also known as cloud iridescence, are caused when small water droplets or ice crystals individually scatter light.
Larger crystals can produce halos, possibly similar to the ones seen here.
This is a rare phenomenon which usually occurs near to the sun and can show clouds as a variety of clouds from pastels to more vivid shades.
