STAFF at Specsavers in Redditch recently bid farewell to the store's two directors.

Having each chalked up more than 20 years of service at the shop, Ian Bowers and Andrew Stefanowski handed over the keys to three new store directors.

The new directors, Gurdeep Bansal, Sarah Wright and James Worton, have 35 years’ of experience at Specsavers between them, and each has been part of the team at Redditch for several years.

Celebrating their time at Specsavers with a retirement party at the store, Mr Bowers said: "I will really miss the staff. We’ve created a real family feel culture here, but I know that the store is in safe hands with the new directors, who are already valued members of the team."

The pair guided the shop through several changes over the years, including an expansion and subsequent relocation to the current premises at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.

MsWright, new store director, said: "We want to build on Ian and Andrew’s strong principles, ensuring that we continue to give our staff all the support they need and focussing on customer satisfaction as our number one priority.

"They have left a wonderful legacy and we wish them the very best for their well earned retirement."
