FIRE crews were called to a severe blaze in a car transporter in Redditch yesterday evening (October 1).
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from the town’s station were alerted to and attended the incident in Claybrook Drive at about 8.51pm.
They extinguished the flames using compressed air foam, and warned people to avoid the area if possible.
The Redditch crew also responded to a potential kitchen fire earlier in the evening.
They attended the incident in Fownhope Close at about 6.41pm following reports of a smoke detector operating.
