FORMER Pop Idol and Dancing on Ice star Gareth Gates will be coming to Redditch to star in the critically acclaimed Mad About The Musicals, at the Palace Theatre.
The singer became a household name making it to the most memorable of the Pop Idol finals in 2001, when he went up against Will Young.
He went on to sell more than five million records worldwide and have hits across the globe.
His version of Unchained Melody sold more than a million copies in the UK and is the third best-selling single of the noughties.
More recently Gareth has had a successful career in musical theatre and has appeared in Les Miserables, Legally Blonde and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
In 2014 he picked up his skates again to appear in the last ever TV series of Dancing on Ice. This finale bought back show winners and viewer favourites to compete for one last time.
And next month, alongside Michael Courtney, he will be coming to town performing songs from from the pen of Rodgers and Hammerstein, Kander and Ebb, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Boublil and Schonberg.
The show takes the audience on a whistle stop tour from the heart of London’s theatre land to the glitz of Broadway.
It also includes incredible dancing, stunning costumes and West End musicians.
Described as a show not to miss, Mad About The Musicals the 10th Anniversary, is at the Palace Theatre on October 1.
Tickets cost £24.75 (£23.75 discount) inclusive of booking fee 75p per ticket up to a maximum of £3.
