A RAINBOW of colour will erupt in Arrow Valley Country Park next weekend during a 5km run in aid of a sight loss charity.

The Go Bright For Sight Colour Run, organised by Sight Concern Worcestershire, is inviting residents of all ages and especially those with a visual impairment to join in the fun on Saturday, September 5.

Entrants start off dressed in white before passing through four paint stations and by the time they reach the finish line, they will be covered in brightly coloured paint.

Fiona Blake, Sight Concern fundraising manager, said: “It will make a grand finale to the summer holidays and promises to be a memorable, colourful experience with a great atmosphere.”

Tickets are priced at £10 for adults, £8 for students, £7 for children and a family ticket is £29.

This includes entertainment and a pair of neon sunglasses.

To book visit www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/go-bright-for-sight-colour-run-redditch-tickets-17338153885.

Each participant has to raise a minimum of £15 in sponsorship for Sight Concern.

The event is being sponsored by a range of local businesses including Specsavers and Hayward Wright.

Recently, the charity started a weekly support group for those affected by slight loss at Redditch Library every Monday afternoon between 1.30pm to 4pm.
