A REDDITCH man died as a result of an industrial disease, a Worcestershire coroner has ruled.
Darran Merrick, aged 49, of Wishaw Close, developed a rare type of cancer, malignant mesothelioma, during the course of his working life as he was exposed to asbestos.
In later years his health deteriorated and he died at his home.
An inquest into his death opened on Thursday, August 13 and closed on Monday, August 17.
