DETAILS for the next Astwood Bank Operatic Society show have been announced.

The group will be performing Lerner and Loewe's popular musical comedy, Brigadoon, with rehearsals set to get underway next month.

Last produced by the society in 2003, the new production will take to the stage of the Redditch Palace Theatre in March next year.

The story of Brigadoon involves two American tourists who stumble upon a mysterious Scottish village which appears for only one day every hundred years.

Songs from the musical include Almost Like Being in Love, and The Heather on he Hill.

Rehearsals start on Monday, September 7 and then follow every Monday evening, at 7.30, at Church Hall, Church Road in Astwood Bank.

The group's annual general meeting will be held on September 28 at 7.45pm at the rehearsal venue.
