REDDITCH residents are being given the opportunity to help shape the future delivery of services in the county by attending a forum in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.

Worcestershire County councillors and senior officers will be visiting the town to engage with the local community and get their views on Tuesday, August 4, between 10am and 4pm.

This will be the fifth year that the local authority will talk with residents through the scheme, which has to date enabled 52,000 members of the public to voice their opinions.

Responses from previous public road shows have been used to inform the council's four corporate priorities: supporting children and families, promoting health and well-being, protecting the environment, and championing open for business.

Adrian Hardman, leader of Worcestershire County Council, said: "We welcome the opportunity to discuss our services with the local community who really care about what we're working to achieve.

“Over the last five years, the 'Have Your Say' road shows have been invaluable in helping us understand the priorities of residents, and ensure we are able to reflect this in our planning.

“We want to continue providing this face-to-face communication, and I look forward to meeting many more people across the county to hear thoughts on how we can do things differently at Worcestershire County Council."

County councillor will be meeting residents from six Worcestershire districts over the next month.
