REDDITCH parents, with youngsters due to start school or nursery in September, are being invited to attend sessions focused on helping to adapt to their new routine.

The sessions will run over the summer holidays to prepare parents, guardians and children, aged between two and five, prepare for the transition.

Tips, information and children’s activities will be available throughout the sessions put on by experienced staff.

Liz Griffiths, early years and parenting operational manager, said: “The move to nursery or big school is an exciting and important time for children and parents.

“Transitions are a part of growing up and can feel as daunting for parents as for their child. Whilst it can be an exciting time it can also be a cause for apprehension.

“Working together with a positive approach will help children become confident and thrive and adapt to this new challenge. It is the end of an era but the beginning of another.”

Sessions will be available across the town’s early help centres.
