VARIOUS parts of a Redditch garden which was well alight last night (July 4) has been put out by firefighters from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.
Crews from the town’s fire station were alerted at 10.21pm and attended the incident in Prudden Close.
They were able to extinguish the flames which had set fire to 20sqm fence panels, 10sqm hedgerow and 5sqm decking.
While earlier yesterday evening the Redditch crew – alongside their fellow Bromsgrove firefighters – assisted West Midlands Ambulance Service at a road traffic collision.
The incident, which took place at 6.29pm, involved two vehicles which had collided on Woodrow Drive, in Redditch.
The fire and ambulance crews worked together to ensure the scene had been made safe.
