FIREFIGHTERS extinguished a kitchen fire at a property in Redditch in the late hours of yesterday evening (July 2).
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from the town’s fire station were alerted to and attended the fire in Cleeve Close at about 11.40pm yesterday.
The crews were able to put out the flames using a hose reel jet and two breathing apparatus.
At 6.55pm yesterday, the crew also helped to rescue a small dog that was trapped on the flat roof of a property.
The dog was stuck on the roof of a house in Woodside Avenue and once rescued was left in the care of its owner.
