CCTV images have been released by police today following a Redditch supermarket robbery.

Officers wish to speak to the man in the images who may be able to help with their enquiries.

The incident occurred at 10.10am on Monday, June 15 when a masked man entered the Co-operative supermarket in Evesham Road with a bladed weapon in his hand and demanded the safe to be opened.

He stole almost £2,000 worth of cash and gift vouchers and also a delivery of cigarettes that had just arrived in store.

The man left the shop via the fire exit and ran into an alleyway that leads to Jordans Close. He was then seen getting into a vehicle, a white Ford Transit van with red and blue lettering on the side.

The van left Jordans Close and turned left onto Evesham Road.

West Mercia Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact police on 101, quoting incident reference number 178 of June 15.
