FOR the 15th year in succession the Primrose Choir will be performing a special summer concert at Redditch Town Hall.

This year the group, dedicated to raising vital cash for the Primrose Hospice, is remembering VE Day and celebrating the peace that has existed in Europe for the last 70 years.

The choir will be once again be joined by St Marys RC School choir which will be performing The Jonah Man Jazz and songs from The Jungle Book.

There is also a number of surprise guests who will be making an appearance.

A spokesman from the choir said: "It promises to be a great evening’s entertainment with popular songs from the era, well known wartime favourites for the audience to sing along with as well as extracts from the musicals.

"Please come along and join us for a great evening out while supporting a worthy local charity."

All profits from the show will go to The Primrose Hospice Centre of Care charity which helps many individuals and their families in Bromsgrove and Redditch when they are faced with life-limiting illness.

The Summer Concert is on Friday, June 19 starting at 7pm.

Tickets cost £9 and are available from 01527 67383 or 01527 546158 or on the door on the night (strictly limited).
