A TOWN young farmers club is preparing to defend a prestigious trophy at a county show.

Members of Bromsgrove Young Farmers Club will be competing at the 67th show of Worcestershire Federation of Young Farmers Club (YFC) on Saturday, May 23.

The club will be competing against nine others in various challenges including cake decorating, tug of war, line dancing, photography, needlework, stock judging and a bake off.

The Bromsgrove club will be looking to repeat its performance of last year when the club was placed in the top three in most competitions.

The competition takes place at the show, which is being held at Peplars Hill Farm at Redditch between 9am and 5pm on Saturday, May 23.

It is open to the public, and includes events and stalls, a barbecue and licensed bar.

Tickets are priced at £5 for adults, children under 10 go free.
