REDDITCH MP Karen Lumley popped on a pullover to show support for Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day campaign.

In its third year, the campaign aims to help vulnerable children as well as spread a little festive cheer.

Money raised on Christmas Jumper Day, last Friday, will be doubled by the government and go toward helping to save the lives of vulnerable children in some of the toughest parts of the world, while giving children living in poverty in the UK the chance to fulfil their potential.

According to Save the Children, here in the UK, 3.5 million children are living in poverty.

Mrs Lumley, who visited Vaynor First School which was also taking part, said: "I'm delighted to support Save the Children to help raise funds for its vital work in the UK and around the world, and what better way to do this than to get into the festive spirit and take part in their Christmas Jumper Day campaign.”
