A DEDICATED and hard working staff member at Birchensale Middle school has been been presented with a prestigious award.
Learning mentor Sarah Pugh was secretly nominated for the UNISON Stars in our School Award by fellow colleagues for working tirelessly to ensure all pupils are happy and ready for the challenges life and school bring.
Sarah, described as dedicated, devoted and extremely passionate about her role in the school, has been the learning mentor at Birchensale since 2011.
The school's headteacher, Tim Jones said that she is committed to removing barriers to learning, so the pupils are able to achieve their full potential.
"Sarah really is a remarkable member of staff and she does sterling work in supporting pupils in all aspects of their school and home life," he said.
Sarah was presented with the award in front of the whole school, by Laura House and John Price from Worcester County UNISON Branch.
