WORCESTERSHIRE library customers have the opportunity to meet with the libraries and learning service management team, as they tour the county on the mobile library before the service's consultation ends on Friday, October 31.

Six consultation meeting points on the mobile library route have been planned, including in Redditch on Friday, October 24, from 1pm until 2.45pmm and on Wednesday, October 29 from 11am until 12.30pm in Kings Norton, Majors Green and Wythall.

The purpose of the consultation visits is to give customers of Worcestershire County Council's mobile library another opportunity to comment on and discuss the proposals for change to the vehicles routes and stopping off points of the mobile library service.

Feedback can also be given by completing an online questionnaire at worcestershire.gov.uk/librariesandlearning or completing a hard copy of the questionnaire available from the mobile library or from any library

Councillor Lucy Hodgson, county council cabinet member for localism and communities, said: "In order to continue to meet the financial challenges we need to look at changes to the mobile library service.

"Before any decisions are made it is important that we hear what our customers have to say.  Through this consultation everyone has the opportunity to tell us what they think and we will be able to ensure that all customers can continue to access library services and receive a service that is appropriate to them."
