WITNESSES are being sought by police after an attempted burglary during the day in Redditch on Tuesday, September 16.

The incident occurred in Ashperton Close in Southcrest between 12.15pm and 1pm.

The offender was attempting to gain access to the property when he was disturbed by someone inside the house. He was described as a white male, possibly in his 20s and approximately 5ft 7ins tall. He is thought to have short sandy coloured hair and was wearing a white short sleeved t-shirt.

Residents are reminded to ensure their properties are secure by not leaving keys in doors.

Police ask anyone who may have further information in relation to this to contact police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting the incident reference 314s of September 16.
