ST Augustine's Catholic High School (Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy) has followed up its superb A-level results with equally impressive GCSE results.

A total of 70 per cent of students gained five A*-C grades including maths and English, 84 per cent of students gained five A*-C grades and 60 per cent gained at least one A*/A grade.

Amongst this incredible tally of results, seven students gained 42 A* grades and 27 A grades between them.

St Augustine's principal Anthony Quinn, said that these superb results were due to the hard work of students and staff alike.  He added that throughout their GCSE course students have been closely tracked to ensure that they could achieve the best outcomes at every level, and that this is testimony to a school which combines academic and personal achievement with a varied enrichment programme to produce well rounded individuals with high aspirations.
