YOUNGSTERS as well as staff from a nursery in Studley have regenerated a key local area as part of Studley in Bloom's bid for a third Gold in the Heart of England in Bloom Awards.

Bright Kids moved into its new head office at Millennium House, the former Studley Library site, on High Street earlier this year.

And now the nursery has regenerated the surrounding land by investing in new planters and creating a community seating area which allowed Studley in Bloom to create a picturesque area as part of their bid to achieve another Gold in the prestigious awards.

After months of hard work judging took place at the beginning of August.

The judges viewed many areas of the village and came to Millennium House to see how the area has been specifically developed.

Bright Kids owner and chief executive Tricia Wellings said: “Bright Kids has been happy to support this local initiative and make this community space more inviting for the villagers.

"A lot of hard work goes into judging day and we were delighted to meet with the judges to chat about how we have changed the old library and courtyard into a more appealing community space and training rooms for local schools and businesses.”

Studley in Bloom is a voluntary organisation funded partly by Studley Parish Council and partly by donations.

The results of the competition are expected to be announced later in the year.
