FOR people who've never been to the seaside at church, now there's a chance, thanks to Messy Church Redditch.

Although organisers can’t promise sunny weather, they will have sand and lots of happy faces ready to help families enjoy the summer.

Messy Church returns to St Stephen's Church in Redditch Town Centre, on Thursday, August 14, running from 2pm until 4pm.

A spokesman said: "Come along and celebrate the summer with lots of fun crafts – from making ‘lim-pets’ to drizzling sand and even taking time to have a boat race. Seaside Messy Church looks set to be another great fun day."

There is no need to book, people can just turn up but children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Messy Church has been organised by members of Emmanuel Church and Redditch Holy Trinity, and has proved a great success at previous events, regularly attracting 30-40 children to sessions.
