TWO men have been arrested for drug offences after a police search of a home in Redditch.

Redditch Safer Neighbourhood Team and Force Operations conducted a drugs warrant at an address on Other Road in the town centre area of Redditch on Thursday, July 3.

During this, a quantity of cannabis was found as well as a large amount of cash.

Two men, aged 28 and 32, were arrested for being concerned in the supply of cannabis and were taken to Kidderminster Police Station for questioning.

Both have been released on police bail until Thursday 11 September.

PC Field, of Abbey Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "This warrant follows a number of other linked drugs warrants to disrupt the supply of drugs into the Redditch community.

"We don’t want any of the local community to have to witness any illegal drug use. The operation focused on a number of known targets following several tip-offs from the public. We would like to thank them for their continuous support.

"To reassure the communities affected in the current series of drug warrants, police are stepping up patrols where members of the public can speak to their local police officer should they wish too."

Police are urging the public to report any drug activities to them on the non-emergency number 101 or via the charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111.

The next Partners and Communities Together meeting is on Thursday, July 17 at 7pm in Arthur Jobson House on Gibbs Road should anyone wish to speak to the Abbey Safer Neighbourhood Team.
