A SERVICE which provides a variety of support for families with children in Redditch has got a new name and look.

The council’s Sure Start Children’s Services which previously provided services including health advice and money top tips for families with children up to five-years-old, is now known as Redditch Early Help.

It now also provides help and support for families living in Redditch that have a child or young person in the family aged 0-19 years.

Acting Early Help manager Louise Langston said: “Redditch Early Help supports families as their children go through every stage of growing up, from baby, to toddler, to infant starting school, to teenagers, to becoming a young adult.

“We know the journey of being a parent and a young person can take many twists and turns, and sometimes, we all need a little bit of help along the way, that's what we are here for, and if we can't, we may know someone who can.

“We can support through activities or groups within our centres in the local community or we can come and support in school or at home.

“Many agencies also use the Early Help centres too, such as health services, counsellors, money management, and college tutors.”

The service even has a new logo with includes Scoot the Squirrel and can be seen all over town. It was designed by a 16-year-old pupil from St Augustine’s High School.
