CASH was stolen by burglars who broke into a Redditch home and searched the property.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the break-in at Sillins Avenue between 1.45pm and 7.30pm on Wednesday, June 11.
It is believed the offenders accessed the back of the property via an alleyway which runs between Sillins Avenue and Margaret Llewellyn Davies Close.
They then forced a door before carrying out an untidy search of all rooms.
Detective Constable Paul Lettis from the burglary team at Redditch CID said: “Burglary is an insidious and distressing crime which can have a deep and lasting impact on victims.
“We are determined to catch those responsible and bring them to justice but we need people to help us by giving us information about suspicious activity or the names of anyone they know or think is involved in this type of criminality.
“If you saw or heard anything unusual around Sillins Avenue last Wednesday afternoon or early evening please give us a call.”
Anyone with information can contact Det Con Lettis at Redditch Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident reference 704-S-110614.
Alternatively if people would prefer to give details anonymously they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or visit crimestoppers-uk.org.
