BUDDING young gardeners have been having a fun time at Noah’s Ark Nursery in Matchborough.

Youngsters have been taking part in an annual gardening club, organised by staff member Joan Fuller.

The children have worked together with a parent or carer to create some fantastic hanging baskets and miniature gardens which they have been able to take home.

The club has been designed to develop the children’s skills and show them how fun and easy it can be to get growing.

Activities such as planting seeds have really sparked the children’s enthusiasm and given them the incentive to take up gardening at home too.

Joan said: "“Children have learned a lot through this great hands-on experience. It’s been such a pleasure to work with the children and parents. It’s been really encouraging to hear feedback on past projects and see their enthusiasm for gardening grow."
