FOR the 14th year in succession, the ever-popular Primrose Choir is delighted to announce its forthcoming Summertime Concert, which takes place at Redditch Town Hall on Friday, June 20 starting at 7pm.

With a delicious mix of golden oldies, songs from the musicals and other favourites, it promises to be a great evening’s entertainment. This year, being the centenary of the First World War, the choir has also included some wartime favourites for the audience to sing along with too.

This summer, the choir is thrilled to once again be joined by Studley St Mary's RC School Choir who will be giving the audience their own supercalifragilistic take on music from Mary Poppins, along with other songs.

All profits go to The Primrose Hospice Centre of Care charity which helps many individuals and their families in Bromsgrove, Redditch and surrounding areas, when they are faced with life-limiting illness.

Tickets cost just £8 and are available by calling 01527 67383 or 01527 546158. There will also be a limited number of tickets available at the town hall on the evening of the concert.

A spokesman said: "Do please come along and join us on June 20 for a light-hearted and fun evening while supporting this worthy local charity."

The choir practices every Wednesday evening and is available for a whole range of events. New members are always welcome. For more details about joining, call either of the two numbers above.
