RESIDENTS are being invited to American-style drive-in movie at Becketts Farm in Wythall.

Becketts Farm is very proud to host an Evening of Spring Fun, organised by the Birmingham Breakfast Rotary Club in aid of a number of different local charities.

The special event, on Friday, May 16, starts from 5pm with live music from the The Fidgets, an up-and-coming local two-piece rock/blues band, food and drinks stalls, and a fancy dress competition, building up to the 8pm airing of the popular film Mamma Mia.

From 5pm, people can park their cars in front of a massive inflatable screen and will be able to tune their radio into the sounds of the 70s and sing along to the Abba-based soundtrack from the comfort of their own car.

Chris Gregory, secretary for the rotary club, said: " Last year we organised an American-style drive-in movie which was a great success and enabled us to raise over £5,000.

"This time, we have An Evening of Spring Fun so come along and have a unique fun-filled evening with family and friends, and know that at the same time you are supporting local charities.”

Ticket price is £20 per car and £5 for pedestrians who will need to bring a chair to sit on and a radio to receive the film soundtrack.
