REDDITCH Lions Club is inviting the general public to vote for what they think are the most informative and imaginative entries in an environmental poster competition.
The Lions, together with Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, have invited local schools to enter an innovative poster competition that focuses on the humble bee and the important part it plays in maintaining the natural habitat we live in, how the bee is in decline and how people can help save it.
Pupils from school, including Birchensale, Matchborough, Ipsley, Ridgeway and Pitcheroak are exhibiting their entries in Redditch Library from Monday, May 12 to Saturday, May 24. The public are invited to go and view the entries and vote for their favourite. All entries will be anonymous.
The winning school and pupil plus runners up will be announced during the second week in June.
First prize for the school is a wildlife garden worth £500 provided by Worcestershire Wildlife Trust.
The pupil who producs the winning poster gets 12 months family membership for the trust, £25 worth of gift tokens and a certificate. There will also be runner up prizes.
