GOVERNORS at Woodfield Academy in Redditch have announced the arrival of new headteacher Mr Stephen Bond.

Mr Bond is an experienced teacher with seven years senior leadership experience, much of which has been within the academy arena. Before his appointment at Woodfield Academy he was the deputy headteacher of Minehead Middle School Academy in Somerset.

“I am delighted to be the new headteacher of Woodfield Academy and I feel privileged to be granted the opportunity to work within such a vibrant and dedicated school community," he said.

"I am grateful to my predecessors, and governors, who have and continue to work tirelessly to ensure the academy’s continued success and I look forward to building on this.

"I am committed to the welfare and happiness of the children in our care and am dedicated to enhancing the already high-quality learning and experiential opportunities that our middle school education has to offer."

He explained that the values at Woodfield Academy reflect a desire for the very best outcomes for all children and that he looked forward to working with pupils, colleagues and partners to ensure this remains the day-to-day priority.

"The educational landscape is forever changing and we will continue to live by our core principles whilst making the most of every opportunity on our journey to excellence,” he added.
