A POPULAR Redditch author more known for her ghostly tales of the spooky and supernatural has written her autobiography.

Amongst some of the memories that Anne Bradford has written about are the time she blew up her school science lab, how she was thrown out of nursing, when she married an artist and the time she accidentally became an author during retirement.

"This is a book that my family have been nagging me to write for a couple of years. Although it's my autobiography I have made it as entertaining as possible, otherwise my children won't read it."

One of the reasons Mrs Bradford wrote the book was to showcase the many cartoons of her husband, John.

"During his working life he produced work for all the major companies; Rover, Cadbury's, Halfords. I have boxes and boxes of his cartoons and have included as many as I could squeeze in."

She said she had written the book with young mothers in mind but it has also proved popular with older ladies.

The book is in stock at ASAP printers, Headless Cross, Crabbs Cross Post Office and Jinny Ring in Hanbury. it can also be ordered from bookshops by giving the number 9780956882745.
