AS well as keeping busy responding to medical emergencies in the town, Redditch First Responders have been busy raising vital funds.

Members were delighted with the success of a a collection held at Sainsbury's in Redditch on Saturday, February 22 when more than £500 was raised. The First Responders have thanked all the staff and customers for their generosity.

The team has a fundraising and awareness day coming up at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre on Saturday, April 5.

As part of the event, it is running a colouring competition which is free to enter and entry forms can now be collected from the information desk in Worcester Square.

Completed entries can be returned to the First Responders on the day of the event and prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place.

Other activities will include basic first aid training, CPR practise sessions and there will be a chance to talk to the Redditch First Responder volunteers.

Members will also be holding a charity raffle and are currently seeking prizes that can be used to help raise crucial funds.

Anyone who wishes to donate a prize, however big or small, can contact Redditch First Responders by emailing redditchcfr@hotmail.co.uk or via the Facebook page facebook.com/redditchcfr.
