THE churches in Astwood Bank, Headless Cross and Crabbs Cross are coming together to hold a charity barn dance in aid of the Philippines Typhoon Appeal.
All are welcome to come and strut their stuff at 7pm on Saturday, February 8 at St Luke’s Memorial Hall, Headless Cross. Music will be provided by live band Captain Swing.
The Rev Glenn Reading, team vicar said: “We felt it was very important to raise some money for those who have suffered as a result of Typhoon Haiyan. It promises to be a good fun evening for all the family while also enabling us to contribute to the ongoing aid effort.”
Tickets cost £10 for adults and £8 for under 16s and will include a ploughman’s supper. To help with catering, they should be bought in advance from Jane on 01527 543634.
