PEOPLE from across Redditch and surrounding villages are taking the time to fondly remember a departed loved one, while at the same time, raising much-needed cash for the Primrose Hospice.
Every year, the hospice holds its Tree of Lights appeal, when people are invited to dedicate a donation to remember a loved one at Christmas time, and have their names included in the hospice’s remembrance books.
In Redditch, there will be remembrance books at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre’s Worcester Square, around the tree, at Thomas Brothers Funeral Directors in Crabbs Cross and at Redditch Crematorium.
The remembrance books, which people are welcome to come and view, will be on display from Saturday, November 30 until Monday, January 6, and there will be a church service at St Stephen’s Church, in Redditch Town Centre, on Sunday, November 24.
The loved one being remembered does not have to have been a patient or have any connection with Primrose Hospice, and all remembrance donations will be accepted gratefully.
Primrose Hospice Centre of Care is an independent charity, offering advice and support to patients, and to their families, living with life limiting illnesses, throughout the North Worcestershire area.
People make their dedication online by visiting primrosehospice.org or by calling 01527 889796. They can also pop into Primrose Hopice shops in Alcester Street, Redditch, and Studley High Street.
