POLICE are investigating two house burglaries in Alvechurch.

Officers are seeking witnesses and information about the break-ins which both happened on Tuesday, (November 26).

The occupiers returned to their School Lane house at around 4.30pm to find thieves had broken in after getting into the back garden. After searching rooms the offenders stole jewellery, including some of great sentimental value.

About two hours later another burglary was discovered in Redditch Road where rooms had been searched and two Dell laptops stolen, along with 500 Euros.

Detective Constable Tony Flannagan from the Bromsgrove Anti-Burglary Team said: “It’s quite possible these break-ins are linked bearing in mind they both happened during the day and in the same area.

“We urgently want to hear from you if you saw any suspicious activity near either address, anyone hanging around who looked out of place or any vehicles which were parked there in unusual circumstances. If you saw or heard anything please don’t delay in coming forward as that information could be important. "

Anyone with information concerning the burglaries should contact DC Flannagan at North Worcestershire CID on non-emergency number 101, quoting the incident reference number 470-S-261113.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
