GENEROUS friends and colleagues will be putting a pot of coffee on in the name of charity on Friday.
Macmillan Cancer Support is calling for people to take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning this Friday, September 27, to raise funds to improve the lives of those affected by cancer.
Among those taking part will be Hallowood Furniture in the Kingfisher Centre, and the Kingfisher School which will be hosting an event from 10am to noon.
Rushton Fencing on the Park Farm Industrial Estate will also be holding a pig roast and refreshments, as well as competitive challenges, from 5.30pm.
While not on the Friday, but still under the Macmillan Coffee Morning umbrella, Redditch Scout Group Hut in Harris Close, Greenlands, will be raising funds on Saturday, September 28 from 10am to noon.
Redditch MP karen Lumley recently held a Macmillan Coffee Morning and managed to raise almost £200.
