NINE separate groups of beavers in Redditch came together for a district hike recently, taking in the local countryside and stretching their legs.
Beavers from first Matchborough, first Birchensale, first Church Hill, first Crabbs Cross, first Redditch, first Redditch (Rowan), 11th Redditch (Willow), first Astwood Bank, and first Winyates groups all teamed up for the walk, following on from previous district visits and events the groups have all held together.
Sarah Davies, the first Matchborough Beaver leader, said: “We had great fun recently on our three mile walk. Unfortunately there was some mud to get through but that just added to the fun. Although we all had the right clothing on it didn't stop walking boots being sucked off the Beavers’ feet and being covered in mud as they splashed through the puddles.”
